Kitchens

A showpiece that balances professional functionality with natural, sustainable beauty.

The two Chef-Caliber Kitchens layout is open, allowing the kitchen to flow seamlessly into the dining and living areas, so cooking becomes part of the social experience. A large island, surfaced in locally limestone with subtle coral fossil patterns, doubles as a prep station and casual gathering spot.

Cabinetry is custom-built by local carpenters, using sustainably sourced  tropical hardwood, treated naturally for longevity, finished with natural oils instead of synthetic varnishes.

oversized windows and sliding glass doors align with the villa’s cross-ventilation design, so cooking aromas drift out to the garden rather than relying solely on mechanical systems

Living Areas

The main living room flows into an open-view garden with lush tropical plants. The boundary between inside and outside is seemsless.

The floor is a smooth, cool chukum, a local lime-based finish that breathes and helps regulate temperature.

Custom-made furniture anchors the space: sustainably harvested tropical hardwoods, their tones warm and grounding. wide sofas upholstered in natural cotton and handwoven textiles by local artisans, a coffee table carved from reclaimed zapote wood. Accents like handwoven palm lampshades, ceramic vessels, and sisal rugs give texture without excess.

The result is luxury without waste — a place where design choices not only look beautiful but feel right for the climate, the culture, and the planet.

Dining Spaces

The dining room is designed as the heart of connection — a space where the act of sharing a meal is elevated by its seamless relationship to nature and craftsmanship.

At its center sits a custom-made dining table, hand-carved from a single slab of sustainably sourced zapote wood, its live edges preserved to echo the organic shapes of the jungle outside. The surface is smooth to the touch yet retains the natural layers of color, telling the story of the tree it came from.

Its versatility is part of its magic — with the furniture cleared, this expansive, open-plan room transforms effortlessly into a yoga studio that accommodates up to 20 guests.

Pool

The pool at this Tulum villa is nothing short of majestic — not just for its beauty, but for how it harmonizes with the surrounding jungle and the villa’s sustainable ethos. Made with cool Chukum limestone, it is barefoot-friendly even under the midday sun. Positioned to capture sunlight throughout the day, the pool also benefits from natural shading by strategically placed palms.

The design encourages more than just swimming — it’s an experience space. At one end, a shallow lounging platform allows guests to recline half-submerged, while the opposite side features a built-in sitting step for conversation or cocktails in the water.

Terraces

The two shaded terraces by the kitchen and living room are the villa’s true living extensions — outdoor areas designed for comfort, climate, and connection.

Flowing directly from the chef-caliber kitchen, the terraces become an open-air dining and lounging space, perfect for long lunches or evening gatherings.

These terraces are more than casual hangouts — they’re multi-purpose sanctuaries. In the morning, they become tranquil spots for coffee and meditation, with the sound of rustling palms and breeze. Midday, they serve as shaded retreats from the tropical sun, still immersed in the garden’s lushness. By night, they transform into social hubs where friends gather, music drifts softly, and the indoor-outdoor lifestyle Tulum is known for comes fully alive.

Gardens

The gardens at the Residence are a living ecosystem, designed to immerse guests in the lush biodiversity of the Yucatán.

Every pathway is edged with native plants — swaying coconut palms, fragrant lime and other frutal trees, orchids tucked into shady corners. The landscape design focuses on permaculture principles, using species adapted to the local climate so they can seamlessly work our waste waters system, which feeds the gardens of the Residence.

The garden’s layout intentionally works with the villa’s cross ventilation, allowing cool breezes to move unobstructed through the home and across outdoor living areas. Rainwater harvesting channels feed into discreet underground cisterns thoughtfully designed as part of the architecture of the Residence.

And then, tucked deeper into the property — lies the secret hot lodge spot: a secluded wellness space where mind and body can fully reset. Built in the tradition of a Temazcal, this rounded, earth-plastered structure is made from local clay. Inside, the air is infused with the scent of copal resin and fresh herbs, used in traditional steam rituals for purification and renewal.

Outdoor Amenities

Tucked beneath a shaded hardwood pergola, the outdoor kitchen is a fully equipped culinary station built with both beauty and durability in mind. The counter made with polished Chukum plaster for a sleek yet earthy feel, fitted with a built-in gas stove and prep areas & sink.

Just a few steps away, the outdoor bar becomes the social anchor of the space. Bar stools in handwoven henequen panels, inviting guests to linger with a cocktail in hand.

Both the kitchen and bar are strategically placed in the outdoor area, making them perfect for hosting everything from casual poolside snacks to full-scale al fresco dinners. Subtle LED strip lighting tucked under counter edges and in overhead beams makes nighttime entertaining as inviting as the daytime scene.

Set slightly apart from the main living areas to ensure privacy and tranquility, the villa’s outdoor studio is a flexible sanctuary designed to host everything from creative workshops to ceremony circles, high-energy workouts, or focused private work sessions.
